Put AI to work, and keep client information where it belongs.
Your team may be using AI already, some of it on free tools. Choose tools by testing them on your own work, and set clear rules for using them. Before anything is switched on, we check who can see which files.

Common questions.
Are businesses our size using AI?
Many are. In October 2026, the Office for National Statistics reported that 38% of businesses with ten or more staff use at least one AI technology. Fewer manage the risks. The government’s 2026 breaches survey found only 24% of businesses using or considering AI had processes for its security risks.
Should we pay for Microsoft Copilot?
It depends on your work. Copilot Business is an add-on to Microsoft 365 business plans and works with your own files. For some teams, another platform fits better. We test before recommending, and we can supply the licences whichever you choose.
Which AI platform is best?
There isn’t one answer. It depends on your work and the tools you already use. For BlackBrick Studio, we tested three platforms on a real design report before recommending one.
Is it safe to use AI with client information?
It can be, with business accounts whose terms protect your data, the right settings and clear rules. The Information Commissioner’s Office is clear that data protection law still applies to AI. For legal questions, check with your own adviser.
What goes in an AI policy?
Which tools are approved, what must never go into them, who checks the output and what to do if something goes wrong. It should fit on a page or two.
