Replace the computers and servers that no longer get updates.

Windows 10 stopped getting free security updates in October 2025, and Windows Server 2016 follows on 12 January 2027. The plan covers what to replace and when, with new kit supplied and everything moved across around your working week.

Thinking of moving off the old server? Read the guide →

Sound familiar?

  • Some of your laptops still run Windows 10
  • There’s a server in a cupboard that nobody wants to touch
  • Your software supplier says your server is too old for the next version
  • Your insurer or a customer has asked whether all your software is still supported

What good looks like.

Every machine kept up to date
Laptops and servers on versions that still get security updates, managed from the day they arrive.
Fewer boxes to look after
Where the cloud does the job better, the old server goes. Where it doesn’t, a supported replacement takes its place.
Spending you can plan
Replacements in an order that suits your budget, so next year’s deadline isn’t a surprise.

Why it matters now.

Windows 10

Free security updates ended on 14 October 2025. Microsoft sells businesses extra years of updates, and the price doubles each year.

Windows Server 2016

Support ends on 12 January 2027, including the Essentials edition. After that date, no more security fixes.

Insurers and contracts

Insurance forms and Cyber Essentials both ask whether your software is still supported. Old machines make those answers awkward.

How the replacement works.

Take stock

Every laptop and server, how old it is and what still depends on it, including the software nobody mentions.

Supply and set up

New laptops and servers supplied by us, set up and protected before they reach your team.

Move and retire

Files, software and settings moved across. Then the old machines are wiped and disposed of responsibly.

How it went for other clients.

Common questions.

Will our old computers stop working?

No. They keep running, but they stop getting security fixes, so every new weakness found in them stays open. That’s what insurers and Cyber Essentials ask about.

Should we pay for extended updates instead?

For a few machines you can’t replace yet, it can buy time. The price rises each year, so treat it as a bridge to a replacement date you’ve already set.

Do we still need a server?

Maybe not. Many small businesses now keep files and email in Microsoft 365 and switch the server off. Some software still needs one on site, and then a supported replacement is the answer. You’ll get a recommendation once we’ve seen what runs on it.

Can you supply the new laptops?

Yes. We supply laptops and servers, set up and protected before they arrive. The old ones are taken away to be wiped and disposed of responsibly.
