Tredilion Park is a luxury wedding and events estate near Abergavenny: an eighteenth-century manor house on sweeping grounds, hired exclusively for celebrations and corporate retreats. It is a place sold on feeling timeless, which makes the brief for its technology unusual: perform like a modern conference venue, stay invisible while doing it.

A countryside address, a city-grade connection.

Rural estates are exactly where connectivity usually goes to die, and a venue cannot ask a wedding party to make allowances. Tredilion Park runs on its own leased line, with a backup that takes a completely different route to the internet: Starlink, over satellite. A dug-up cable half a mile away cannot take an event offline, because the second path does not touch the ground until it reaches the estate.

WiFi for a hundred and twenty people in one room.

Most venue WiFi works beautifully during the site visit and collapses at the first full house, because coverage and capacity are different problems. A hundred and twenty guests concentrated in one space, every one of them with a phone, is the hard version of wireless networking. We designed the estate’s WiFi for that moment: high-density access points where the crowds gather, outdoor coverage across the grounds and gardens, and the whole system tuned so a full house is a normal day, not a stress test.

Eyes across the estate.

The same infrastructure carries CCTV across the estate, so a property that spends its evenings full of guests and its weekdays largely empty is watched either way, on one system rather than a patchwork of boxes.

Where it stands.

Suppliers take payments, couples livestream ceremonies to family who cannot travel, planners run their day from tablets, and a hundred-odd guests share every moment as it happens, all from a manor house older than the telephone. The technology stays out of the photographs, and we watch it so it stays out of the way.

Guests expect WiFi that just works, even in the middle of the countryside with a hundred and twenty people in one room. Gotschna made connectivity something we never think about, and on a wedding day that is exactly how it should be.
